**About the Role**
**Strategic Management**
- Create roadmap for growth of financial management practices to optimize ROI and reduce financial risks for a high growth diversified organization
- Participate in strategic planning and strategic management of the company
- Review business performance, advise on business model changes and communicate to shareholders
**Finance and Accounting**
- Responsible for overall financial operations and financial reporting
- Lead functional responsibilities for FPNA, cash management, treasury, accounting, and financial controls
- Ensure the integrity of the financial information within the accounting and financial systems
- Provide guidance on accounting policy changes and impacts
- Manage financial statement audits and ensure ongoing compliance
- Oversee Canadian and foreign tax compliance matters and liaise with external legal and accounting advisors as needed
- Oversee development and integrity of financial models, reporting and statements
**Treasury and Capital Management**
- Work with Senior Management to set and manage the capital structure of all investments
- Ensure adequate cash flow to meet company needs, and
- Maintain banking relationships (financing, loans, investments etc.) in collaboration with the Senior Management team
**Process and Organizational Architecture**
- Develop and implement financial KPIs at business and functional levels
- Lead development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and internal controls
- Architect financial processes to create scalability, transparency, accountability, with specific attention to project accounting
**Team Leadership**
- Hire, train and retain talented financial professionals
- Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team
**About You**
- CPA designation with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience
- Strong experience with external financial reporting (IFRS), budgeting and forecasting, controls, compliance, tax and treasury (experience with acquisitions, financing and investor relations is considered an asset)
- Exceptional business acumen and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build strong scalable teams
- The ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external business partners acting as a trusted advisor
- Experience with technology implementations and process enhancement initiatives
- Experience working in the construction and real estate industry is not a prerequisite
