Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipes, valves and fittings distribution industry. We are searching for a Truck Driver for our Dorval, QC Warehouse site. The individual is responsible for the daily movement of product, materials and machinery inside and outside of the warehouse facility using a combination of manual and mechanical means.
This position is responsible for the delivery of product and material to customers and for the picking up of product and material from customers and suppliers. This position is also responsible to ensure all documentation associated to the delivery and pick up of product and material is complete and filed and, to assist in the warehouse as required/requested.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Complete daily appointments and deliveries as per the schedule determined by the Warehouse Manager (or designate), to advise throughout the day of any issues/problems with incomplete or unfinished appointments or deliveries,
- Ensure product or material is loaded in a safe manner prior to vehicle movement, to inspect, document and report damaged product or materials, communicates same to Warehouse Manager (or designate)
- On a daily basis ensure trucks and equipment are in good working condition; pre-start up checklists and maintenance checklists are completed and submitted, to immediately communicate mechanical/maintenance issues to supervision
- Complete all necessary customer delivery or customer/supplier pick up documents according to established procedures, controls documents, obtains signatures, remits completed documents on a daily basis
- Follow safe driving practices, follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations, ensure products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion
- Assist customers at warehouse sales counter as required/requested
- Responsible for care, control and security of vehicle and product, must immediately report any breach to Warehouse Manager (or designate) and notify proper authorities
- When not driving truck assist in the warehouse, to pick and complete orders, move and/or place stock and/or yard materials in the appropriate location, receive shipments and/or load/unload trucks (manually or mechanically)
- Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum one (1) year Class 3 driving experience preferably with a background from a warehouse environment and experience operating mechanical lifting devices (HIAB)
- Background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipe and fittings is an asset
- Secondary school Diploma
- Must be physically fit (walk, lift, climb) with the ability to lift minimum 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - French/English
- Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities and mínimal supervision
