**Job Summary**

You are at the heart of the motel where first impressions are everything As a Housekeeperr, you will take ownership of guestrooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.

**What you will be doing**:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Clean all assigned guestrooms to standards set by The Beach Motel including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
- Laundry duties
- Sign master keys and work cell phone in and out daily
- Stocking of linen carts
- Stocking of guestroom mini-bars
- Proper usage of cleaning tools including wearing all required personal protective equipment
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Update and record the status of all guestrooms
- Return and properly tag all lost and found articles to your supervisor
- Follow The Beach Motel’s policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all training provided on safe work practices and job procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests and team members
- Be security conscious and report any unusual and suspicious people or occurrences to your supervisor
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Report any repairs or maintenance required in rooms or public areas promptly to your supervisor
- Must adhere and know emergency/fire procedure responsibilities towards the hotel and our guests
- All other duties as assigned

**Physical aspects of position include but not limited to**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- Physically capable of performing duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objects

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Willingness to obtain a food handler’s certificate, offered by The Beach Motel
- Willingness to obtain SmartServe certification, offered by The Beach Motel
- Aptitude to use electronics such as a mobile phone, computer and various software systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal; strong organizational and time-management skills
- You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, evenings, early mornings and other non-typical shifts

Centrally located in Southampton, Ontario, The Beach Motel is the area’s only premier boutique motel. With 17 beautifully appointed guestrooms, The Beach Motel is truly the place to work and stay. The working environment is both indoors and outdoors, year-round. Our property is multi-level without elevators. Each guestroom is accessed from the outdoors.
