Shipper/receiver/forklift Operator

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
You are an integral part of providing the expertise and service benefiting the logistics and shipping department. As a shipper, you are responsible for the handling of all products and materials sent out by the Protech Group. In addition, the shipper is responsible for the warehousing and inventory maintenance of all stock kept on the premises. You will:

- Complete all required paperwork for the shipping of materials and goods.
- Storage and maintenance of the stock kept on the premises.
- Operation of all heavy equipment (i.e., load trucks, forklifts, etc.) in a safe manner.
- Tracing and expediting delayed or lost shipments.
- Contacting transport companies for the pick-up and delivery of materials and goods.
- Responsible for stock rotation.
- Training of entry level shipper.

**YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Ability to effectively communicate with others (orally and in writing) to arrange for the shipping of materials and goods.
- Ability to train workers in the shipping job function.
- Strict adherence to all safety and work conduct regulations.
- Numerical ability to count, sort materials, and to perform arithmetic computations involving the use of fractions and decimals for shipping bills of lading, invoices, packing slips, etc.
- Eye-to-hand finger coordination to rapidly and accurately sort and handle goods and materials.
- Manual dexterity to grasp, place and turn articles when preparing materials for shipping or storage.
- Clerical perception for details when comparing quantities and identification numbers on invoices, bills of lading, packing slips, etc.
- Strength to perform sedentary to medium work requiring the lifting of items weighing up to 30 kg and to move hand truck loads weighing up to 1,000 kg.
- Lift truck driver certification Type Reach
- Bilingual in English & French, written and oral skills

**VOTRE EXPÉRIENCE ET VOS COMPÉTENCES**
- Habileté de comprendre et appliquer les procédures pour l’expédition de matériaux et de marchandises.
- Habileté de communiquer avec autrui (verbalement et par écrit) pour l’expédition de matériaux et de marchandises.
- Habileté de former les travailleurs dans la fonction d’expéditeur.
- Adhésion à tous les règlements de sécurité et le comportement acceptable au travail.
- Habileté mathématique pour compter, trier et évaluer les matériaux en utilisant des fractions et décimales.
- Coordination oeil-main et une dextérité pour trier et manipuler la marchandise rapidement et avec précision.
- Une bonne dextérité pour saisir, placer et tourner des articles lors de la préparation de matériaux pour l’expédition ou l’entreposage.
- Une bonne perception pour les détails lors de la comparaison de quantités, l’identification de numéros et la préparation de papeterie.
- Avoir la force physique pour soulever des items pesant jusqu’à 30 kg et pour déplacer des chariots à main pesants jusqu’à 1 000 kg.
- Certification conducteur de chariot élévateur Type Reach
- Bilingue en anglais et français écrite et orale

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
