About the Role
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue for the Educational Sales channel. This dynamic role incorporates account sales as well as rights and licensing, and you will work closely with the Director on strategic planning for the channel.

**You’ll be working on things like**:

- Creating strategic plans to achieve sales and revenue goals for educational accounts and licensing business
- Managing account relationships and understanding customers’ business needs
- Negotiating business terms
- Working closely with wholesalers and distributors to pitch titles and grow sales in the channel
- Preparing for and presenting at internal and external sales conferences
- Managing educational licensing and permissions business
- Managing a portfolio of English and Foreign Language rights sales
- Travelling to trade shows and fairs to pitch titles and build relationships
- Reporting on sales, rights, licenses, and permissions sold to creators and internal teams
- Forecasting revenue and inventory for educational sales channel
- Liaising with marketing and design team on any creative assets, advertising, relevant promotions, or events
- Liaising with legal team on rights/licensing contract templates and negotiations

If you have the following we want to hear from you
- A minimum of 5 years of account management experience in the educational book market
- Excellent knowledge of rights, licensing, and permissions contracts
- Experience with inventory and revenue forecasting
- Best-in-class sales and customer service skills
- Proven track record of growing institutional sales
- Experience with sales analysis and reporting systems
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders
- Ability to travel
