**In Your Role You Will**
- Collaborate with the Communications team to identify and prioritize tasks related to the rebrand.
- Assist in the development and updating of organizational files and documents.
- Provide administrative support for rebranding efforts and communications activities.
- Support social media efforts on organization’s platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

**The Position**

Taproot Community Support Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern, to assist with marketing, communications, and rebranding efforts. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organizational rebranding and contribute to a pivotal strategic initiative that will shape the future of our organization.

Schedule:
One (1) temporary, part-time position that is expected to be 2-3 months in duration.
- Schedule of 24-32 hours per week (i.e. 3-4 days), conducted during standard office hours, Monday through Friday.
- Position provides option to work remotely from the successful intern's home office, or, on-site at the Central Administration office in Maple Ridge, BC.

**Mandatory Pre-Employment Screenings and Checks**

**Prior to confirmation of employment, all applicants must provide a copy of a current Criminal Record Check and/or Government Screening Letter. These checks vary depending on province and sector and will be communicated by the Program Hiring Team.**
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of InDesign, Adobe Suite, or Canva is an asset.

Required Competencies:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
