**We are currently looking to hire a Production Supervisor**

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for being a key player in a culture of engagement within and between the plant teams to directly impact and consistently meet plant objectives and deliverables. This position is also accountable for ensuring that production teams work collaboratively in the decision-making processes and that the decisions are in alignment with plant goals and objectives, key performance indicators (KPI) and safety requirements.

**Accountabilities**:

- Manage production workflow through the department.
- Scheduling and assigning personnel while establishing priorities
- Oversee department operations and ensure all work and safety procedures are being adhered to
- Train, mentor and develop the production team.
- Providing organization & direction to the daily tasks of the department in areas of: quality, equipment, production, & employee issues
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly production report reviews and take required corrective actions.
- Provide guidance, training, & development to employees.
- Oversee performance management - inclusive of conducting performance reviews and providing coaching & corrective action as required
- Ensure that production and customer requirements are met, and productivity goals are maintained.
- Assist with recruiting and new hire selections

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years experience in a Supervisory role.
- Experience in operation of programmable Sewing machines an asset
- Experience in lean manufacturing & continuous improvement
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively & constructively with employee issues
- Strong computer proficiency; MS Word & Excel
- Effective Communication skills - both verbal & written
- Have proven decision making, problem solving and team work skills.
- Post-secondary education in Industrial Supervision or Management an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
