Dog Groomer

**Job Overview**

We are Hamilton's newest dog grooming salon, located right in the heart of downtown. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our tight knit team.

As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while providing exceptional grooming services. You will be responsible for creating a positive experience for both dogs and their owners while showcasing your grooming skills and customer service expertise.

This position is commission based (percentage will be discussed) and you set your own work schedule. If you have a friendly pup, every day is bring your dog to work day

**Responsibilities**
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner preferences.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Handle pets with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communication.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service quality.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer is required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Patience and compassion for animals, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable during grooming sessions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: $150.00-$300.00 per day
