Pet Planet Cranston is currently looking for a part-time Retail Pet Ambassador to join our team at the Cranston Market location. Since 1996, Pet Planet has been dedicated to helping pets live longer, happier lives, and we would be thrilled to have you contribute to our mission.

We are seeking a respectful, ambitious, dependable, and self-motivated individual who possesses a genuine love for animals and is a collaborative team player.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Greeting pet guardians and assessing their needs.
- Providing recommendations and assisting customers in locating merchandise.
- Answering questions effectively by utilizing your product knowledge.
- Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
- Receiving and stocking orders (the ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds is a non-negotiable requirement).
- Interest in Social Media content (Pet Planet business account)
- Performing administrative tasks, such as answering phones and processing transactions.

**Qualifications we are looking for**:

- A genuine love for animals.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts (3-5 hours per shift, approximately 4-10 hours per week)
- A high school diploma or GED is considered an asset.
- Previous experience with animal nutrition is preferred.
- Pet guardianship is also an asset.
