**Rate of Pay**:$27.83 per hour and increments in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Develop menu plan, prepare meals and oversee the operation of the eating and cooking facilities.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduation from a program in institutional or residential quantity cooking and one year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience working with clients who are struggling with substance use, mental and spiritual wellness, poverty and homelessness and strong skills in working with a multi-barrier population while maintaining appropriate boundaries and providing solid team leadership
- Demonstrated ability to work with residents who engage in high risk activities using a harm reduction philosophy
- Proven ability to communicate in a manner that promotes positive working relationships with residents, co-workers, community partners, community members and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations
- Valid certification in Food Safe, First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Successful Criminal Record Check

**PRESENT HOURS OF WORK**:
40 hours per week (Monday
- Friday): 10:00am - 6:00pm. Flexibility with hours of work is required to meet client and program needs as determined by the Program Coordinator.
