We have an immediate opening for a mobile DJ (Disc Jockey) & MC (Master of Ceremonies) looking to perform and provide superior audio experiences to clients for private events (weddings, private parties, corporate events) throughout Windsor-Essex County.
This is an ideal position for an individual who knows how to DJ (minimum 5 years of experience), is comfortable speaking and working in front of large crowds to provide a high-level of customer service. This position is primary on weekends during the evening.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
As a mobile DJ, your objectives are, but not limited to:
- Under the direction of the Director of Entertainment, you will carry out daily operational/technical duties as instructed.
- Responsible for preparing all required music prior to event.
- Responsible for accurate setup, dismantling and efficient operation of audiovisual equipment including Speakers/Audio Systems/Lighting/Computer/Special FXs/Photo Booth.
- Attend scheduled events and provide live on site DJ services as required.
- Responsible for following event timeline with music cues and coordinating with event staff.
- Responsible for hosting event and making any announcements as required (MC - Master of Ceremonies).
- Responsible for paying music and DJ'ing live throughout the event as required.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment and software issues.
- Responsible for proper security, storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment.
- Responsible for front of the line customer service and interaction with clients, venue partners and other vendors as needed.
- Responding and confirming that you have received and understand all the information given to you for all the events you are involved with.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Entertainment.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- 5 Years of experience as a DJ.
- Have and own their own music library.
- Strong oral skills and comfortable speaking in front of large crowds.
- Good technical & computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willingness to train to develop Excellence in Customer Service and Leadership Acumen
- Technical knowledge of Audio, Video, Projection, Computer, and Lighting
- Experience with Light Jockey an asset.
- Portrays a polished professional image to meet company dress code requirements.
- Must excel in high stress environments and situations.
- Heavy lifting of speakers and equipment may be required at times.
- Ability to work on a ladder.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as dictated by the Director of Entertainment, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be available to work Friday’s Saturday’s and Sunday’s
- Valid G Driver’s License with access to vehicle and must be able to travel to various locations within the Windsor-Essex County.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
