**About The Opportunity**:
Working as an integral part of the Ayás Mén̓men Child and Family Services Department, this position reports directly to the Case Management Supervisor and Co-Supervised by Administration Team Leader. This position will be a combination of two roles
- Social Worker Assistant and Program Coordinator for Ayas Lam Family Program. The Social Worker Assistant position will entail the following: Reporting to the Team Leader and Case Manager, the Social Worker Assistant/Program Coordinator position will act as Social Worker Assistant and Program Coordinator for Ayas Lam Family Program. The social worker assistant will provide case management assistance and assumes limited delegated authority under the Child Family and Community Service Act. The position provides coordination and administration for the assigned program responsibility areas. Working under the direction of a delegated Social Worker provides support for a range of clients in such areas as daily living, resources, programs, and transportation. Helps assure that services provided are meeting the client’s needs. The position requires strong knowledge of federal and provincial Child & Family Service policies, practices, and protocols, including knowledge of delegated authority from the provincial Ministry of Child & Family Development is required. The incumbent is required to have a good understanding of the professional staff’s requirements, case management techniques and community resources. The incumbent is responsible for adhering to relevant policies and procedures, carrying out their work activities professionally and responsibly, and always keeping clients safe and well. The Program Coordinator position has a high level of people interaction, requiring tact, and diplomacy. The program coordinator will entail the following: Reporting to the Team Leader and is responsible for managing the planning and daily schedule for Ayas Lam Family program. The position provides coordination of the monthly calendar, and arranges the schedule for elder in residences, guest speakers and field trips. The incumbent creates the daily program schedule and is expected to facilitate the circle. The position entails grocery shopping, prepping of daily snacks, cooking light lunch and cleaning/disinfecting program space. The program coordinator organizes the purchase of necessary supplies and equipment.

**Salary**: Compensation based on Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
