Khataw Development is in search of a Site Superintendent that will be an integral part of the team. The Site Superintendent is responsible for oversight, executing, and closing projects successfully. Ensuring the highest standard of quality control. They provide coordination and high level critical thinking of comprehensive projects to ensure they are complete on time and on budget.

Site Superintendent Requirements:

- Provide excellent customer service at all times to all clients.
- Maintain constant communication with your management team. (Office and Operations manager.
- Work collaboratively with the team and have a complete understanding of expectations for each project
- Expected to stay up to date on new building technologies, materials and practices
- Responsible for job site safety, security and cleanliness on a daily basis
- Expected to be familiar with all current building codes
- Follow the safety policy and keep the company and sub trades working within Worksafe BC legislative guidelines

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work being performed efficiently.
- Perform onsite tasks (general carpentry, general cleanup & installation of various materials) to assist team when required
- Assist team with operating responsibilities such as leading team meetings, creating and editing scopes of work, best practices, safety protocol, organizing tools, building site signage.
- Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified.
- Homeowner walk throughs, + deficiency walk throughs. Must be completed prior to handover.
- Attend any inspections that are booked.

**Required Skills**:

- Must be able to understand and interpret architectural and structural plans.
- Strong mathematical skills including calculating percentages and square footage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including effective conflict resolution. Must be able to honestly address issues and not be afraid of difficult conversations.
- Thorough and attentive to details with ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Being proactive and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and make informed decisions on the go.

Tools & Equipment:

- Provide basic hand and power tools to carry out onsite tasks
- Cell phone with data plan will be provided.

Required Education & Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction carpentry.
- In-depth knowledge of high end residential new construction and renovation
- Experience with large and small scale residential renovations, structural experience (site work to finishing) as well as new construction.
- Class 5 drivers license

Preferred Education & Experience:

- Construction Management Diploma or Equivalent
- Current First Aid Ticket
- Finishing Carpentry

Medical and dental Benefits are available after your probation period. Khataw Development offers to pay 50% of the monthly premiums. The remaining 50% is deducted from your pay-checks if you choose to opt in.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Langford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
