The work is driving a 5 tonne delivery truck around down-town Victoria and checking out the coolers of the best places to eat. You will need physical strength to maneuver wheeled carts and carry 30 dozen eggs (about 60kg). A cheerful disposition is must as you are representing Lockwood Farms and we are so very excited to grow eggs and produce for the people of the South Island. Patience and an even temper is also a necessary asset for good driving. You will be expected to build orders as you go. You will also be expected to wash the truck and supplies regularly. Attention to details is also necessary, as you are the last one who sees the product before customers, so you are the last person who can catch any mistakes.

Tuesdays and Thursdays in Victoria and Wednesdays in the Cowichan area are our current delivery days. You must be available to work on these days with an early start.

This position is 18-30hrs a week. Delivery days can be long, and most of the time is spent delivering.

**Applicant must have the following qualities**:

- **Initiative**: knowing how to get the job done. You are the sort of person who sees something that needs fixing, and you go and pull out your tools and fix it.
- **Efficiency**: You like to focus and get on with your work, you can complete a job quickly.
- **Sensible**: You take safety seriously, your mom doesn’t need to tell you to wear ear and eye protection.

**Applicant must have the following**:

- **High School Diploma**
- **Previous Delivery Driving Experience**
- **Clean Criminal Record Check**
- **Driver’s Licences** - I think this goes without says, as the job is driving.

Lockwood Famers produces eggs and vegetable. Our products are primarily sold to restaurants in the Victoria area, and through local farmer’s markets. Our produce is organically grown (not certified), and our focus is on efficiency and higher production while not comprising our values of sustainability, organic practices and animal welfare.

Lockwood Farms is run by husband and wife team, James and Cammy Lockwood.
