Landfill Operator

**The Corporation of the Township of North Huron is recruiting an** **individual to fill the role of**:
**Landfill Operator**

**(Permanent Part-Time)**

The Landfill Operator is responsible for a safe and orderly landfill site. This position will assess the appropriate charges for the disposal of paid waste, separate solid waste materials, co-ordinate waste burial and covering materials, contract the removal of recyclables, manage the storage, disposal and fill on site and maintain records in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment. The position is stationed at the Wingham Landfill site.
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in a related field

**Qualifications for Employment include**:

- Ability to work with little supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong time management skills
- DZ and Heavy Equipment experience considered an asset

Applicants must be prepared to work 22 hours per week. Further information on the position is available on the Township of North Huron _website_.

The rate of pay: $18.20 - $22.75
