**Core Job Responsibilities**
- Be a key resource person for the Accounting Team
- Accounts Payable functions such as EFT payment runs, wire transfers, reconciliations, investigations, foreign exchange purchases, petty cash, etc.
- Accounts Receivable functions such as deposits, cash handling, customer setup, reconciliations, credit, and collections. Monitor past due progress and ensure consistent flow; identifying problem areas and working towards resolution
- General Ledger - Assisting in month end procedures, approve and post all GL Batches and inter-company transactions, perform reconciliations. Internal financial statement preparation, budgets, and management reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of Remittances, Financial, Legal - Perform all government remittances (on-line) such as GST, PST, EHT, WCB, Income Tax, etc.
- Perform reconciliations for taxes, banks, payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger
- Perform company payroll through ADP Payroll Services in coordination with HR Manager
- Participate in software/hardware implementation projects, procurement, and maintenance in coordination with IT Manager
- Assist with corporate fraud detection, theft control systems, and PCI credit card compliance
- Administer service contracts such as benefits, payroll, shredding, office cleaning, office supplies, etc.
- Maintain an orderly system of archiving and electronic filing
- Compile data, statistics, metrics, and other information to help with corporate planning, targeting, budgeting, and goal attainment

**Required Competencies**
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a CPA designation is required
- Three to five years of full cycle accounting experience in a wholesale or distribution environment is required
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 ERP (Accpac) or comparable ERP software is preferred
- Excellent internal and external customer relation skills
- Experience in PST and PST Audits would be considered an asset
- Experience in both GL and Sub-Ledgers
- Statistical Analysis experience
- Excellent English reading, writing, and oral skills; Advanced keyboarding and computer skills, are required
- Training and experience in regards to corporate fraud and PCI compliance
- Advanced use of MS Office Outlook E-mail, Excel, telephone system, and other computerized systems or programs
- Effectively work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism
- Strong attention to details and problem solving

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
