**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a customer-service focused Telehandler Operator who will use heavy equipment (telehandlers, forklifts, wheel loaders, and skid steers) to load and unload inventory, organize the yard for auction, and provide exceptional customer service to deliver on Bryan's winning experience for clients and customers. This is a short-term contract position that will start June 3 and finish June 26 at our pop-up auction in Navan.
**The Ins and Outs of the Job**
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the Telehandler Operator is directly responsible for:
- Using telehandlers and forklifts to unload inventory from consignors and set up the yard for easy, accessible, and safe viewing
- Completing daily circle checks and other safety procedures, and submitting associated paperwork
- Ensuring the yard is organized and clean prior to auction
- Using telehandlers and forklifts to load customer purchases onto their vehicle
- Completing general labour-type type tasks as needed
- Working primarily outdoors and completing tasks in inclement weather conditions safely and efficiently.
- Working according to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Bryan’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Performing all duties with careful consideration to safeguard your health and safety, and that of your coworkers.
**Who You Are**
A safe and reliable equipment operator, you:
- Can competently and safely operate telehandlers and forklifts
- Are able to start work on Tuesday June 3rd and can work 8:30 -4:30 pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
- Live in the Navan/Ottawa area
- Are able to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the workday
- Make safety a top priority
- Are comfortable working in a team environment, but can execute independent work with ease
- Are a strong communicator and understand that the little things often leave the biggest impression with customers
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days look exactly the same.
- Are organized and can to prioritize in order to manage your time and resources effectively.
Your education and career path are likely to have culminated in:
- Completion of high school, or equivalent life experience
- 2+ years experience operating telehandlers and forklifts t in a busy yard or construction setting
- Ability to drive equipment with manual transmissions is preferred
- Solid customer service skills, as well as verbal and written communication abilities
While we’re not necessarily looking for someone who fits every one of these criteria, the person who will be successful in this role _must have experience operating telehandlers and forklifts, live in the Navan/Ottawa area, and be able to start Tuesday June 3rd. _

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1 month
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 48 per week
