Part-time Weekend Laundry/housekeeper Supervisor

**Join the Rodeway Inn team We are currently looking for a Part-time Weekend Laundry/Housekeeper Supervisor.**

**Reports directly to General Manager and indirectly to immediate supervisor.**

**Qualifications**:

- **Must be dependable and a team player**:

- **Must demonstrate enthusiasm, willingness to learn and have a positive attitude**:

- **One year minimum experience in the Hospitality Industry with strengths in Laundry and Housekeeping required**:

- **Ability to work 5 to 8 hour shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as potential call in shifts**:

- **Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional**:

- **Well organized and attention to detail**:

- **Capable of lifting heavy laundry loads, approximately 40-50 lbs.**:

- **Ability to work cohesively with other departments and team members**:

- **Ability to perform job functions with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner**

**Main duties include and all duties are to be met or exceeded to Choice Hotel Standards and Procedures as well as any other tasks that may be deemed necessary from your supervisors;**

**Laundry duties;**
- **Operating and monitoring the washing, and drying machinery as well as cleaning lint traps**:

- **Identifying stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash or discard; loading and unloading washing machines and dryers**:

- **Feeding the machine with linen; inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer and place in clean linen area**:

- **Setting dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load; remove lint and debris from dryer screens, and drain trap each load**:

- **Folding, sorting and shelve clean laundry items**:

- **Maintain cleanliness of laundry room such as vacuuming, dusting and sweeping**

**Housekeeping duties (when required);**
- **Clean rooms, storage areas and corridors**:

- **Ensure guest supplies and promotional material are replenished in guest rooms**:

- **Report all lost and found items**:

- **Proper usage and storage of all cleaning agents and equipment while following all Health and Safety Regulations and Manufacturer's instructions**:

- **Opening and Closing procedures while ensuring accurate completion of any reports**:

- **Deep cleaning duties as allocated by Supervisor on duty**:

- **Proper usage and storage of linens and towels in an efficient and cost-effective manner**:

- **Report all maintenance issues to Supervisor on duty**:

- **Interact with guests in order to make guests stay more enjoyable and assist in identifying service opportunities**:

- **Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment**:

- **Participates in the daily stand up meetings**:

- **Demonstrates appropriate Choice service behaviours**:

- **All other duties as assigned**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
