**Position Title**:
Environmental Housekeeping Aide.(COVID vaccine recommended NOT required)

**Reports to**:
Environmental Service Manager.

**Position Summary**:
The Environmental Housekeeping Aid contributes to providing a safe and clean environment for Saint Luke’s Place, Long term care home.

**Education, Experience and Qualifications**:
Previous experience in a janitorial/housekeeping position is an asset, but not required.

Must be able to multi-task and preform duties efficiently under limited supervision.

Ability to operate machinery - Scrubbers, buffers, etc.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to push, pull and lift heavy equipment.

**Major Responsibilities**:
Duties include mopping, vacuuming, equipment cleaning, changing drapes, collecting laundry and garbage, floor care, wall washing, vent and ceiling and non-clinical space: patient rooms, common areas, meeting rooms, washrooms, staff areas, and other specialty areas as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $19.06 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Saint Luke’s Place home is experienced in managing respiratory illnesses and takes swift action to halt the spread of the virus through rigorous infection management practices and procedures.
