**Glass Cutter (Assistant)**

You will be required to have prior experience in the flat glass industry and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You’re self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Operates the automatic glass cutting table line as well perform manual glass cutting operations.
- Knowledge of cutting glass, machine and hand polishing, U.V. gluing etc, installing mirrors within trim and customer provided frames.
- Conduct accurate field measuring.
- Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions.
- Perform daily operation functions such as loading/unloading of glass stock while maintaining appropriate production records.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of equipment failures under manager supervision and downtime causes to improve productivity.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, positive attitude toward co-workers and the job and must follow instruction.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (Heat, cold, etc.)
- General housekeeping of the shop. Care and upkeep of tools and equipment including routine cleaning and maintenance of polishing machine.

**Job Requirements**:

- Prior glass cutting and installation experience are a MUST.
- Ability to measure accurately using lasers, tape measures and levels.
- Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation.
- Personal Protective Equipment is a must all the time including (Steel Toes, Hard hat, Visibility clothing, Safety goggles/glasses, Safety boots with a steel toe cap, Safety gloves, Earplugs, Face masks. This position requires a lot of bending, twisting, and reaching, as well as standing and walking on concrete floors wearing steel-toed shoes for long periods at a time.
