Garde Manger

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and assemble cold prep food items for high volume guest counts, ensuring freshness and quality including but not limited to fruit, salads, canapes and antipasto.
- Assist in the preparation of various dishes according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cold prep and kitchen areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle food items with care, following proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering as needed.
- Support the head chef in menu planning and special event preparations.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, with a focus on food preparation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary techniques.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
