**JOB SUMMARY**

The department head, under the supervision of the management team, directs department operations to ensure the department always meets company standards.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide department employees with guidance on performance of their duties;
- In conjunction with the employees, always ensure that the department is kept neat and tidy;
- Use a positive, collaborative approach to train and integrate new department employees in accordance with company standards;
- Provide department employees with ongoing coaching to ensure they make customer service their priority;
- Perform the sales consultant role in an exemplary manner and act as a resource person to other consultants on the team;
- Every day before operations begin, see what needs to be done in the department and identify the tasks to be completed (folding, stocking, cleaning, etc.);
- Set up the daily work schedule and assign tasks to employees on the team;
- Schedule break and meal times on a daily basis while maintaining appropriate staffing levels on the sales floor;
- Help window dressers make marketing changes, when required, and introduce samples of new merchandise that fit in well with the current visual presentation;
- Share ideas with window dressers about ways to promote various products and increase sales;
- Constantly check what merchandise is available at the back of the store to promote efficient restocking;
- Act as a role model for department employees;
- Minimize losses by educating staff on the attitudes and behaviours to be adopted when handling merchandise;
- Any other related tasks.
**SKILLS**
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar job
- Excellent knowledge of clothing sales
- Customer service talent
- Know how to manage time and priorities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and dynamism
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly

**RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE**

Le responsable de département, sous la supervision de l’équipe de gestion, veille à diriger les opérations de son département afin que celui-ci soit toujours à la hauteur des standards Aubainerie.
**PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS**

Le quotidien d’un responsable de département chez Aubainerie, c’est:

- Être responsable de diriger les employés de son département dans l’accomplissement de leurs tâches;
- Veiller en tout temps, et avec la collaboration des employés, à la bonne tenue de son département et de l'entretien de celui-ci;
- Former et intégrer les nouveaux employés de son département en utilisant une approche positive et collaborative tout en respectant les normes fixées par Aubainerie;
- Agir constamment à titre de coach pour les employés de son département afin qu’ils fassent du service à la clientèle leur priorité;
- Exécuter le rôle de conseiller à la vente de façon exemplaire et agit à titre de personne-ressource auprès des autres conseillers de son équipe;
- Déterminer, avant chaque début de journée en regardant l’état de son département, les tâches qui devront être accomplies (pliage, remplissage, propreté, etc.);
- Coordonner le plan de la journée et la distribut
