**LINE/PREP COOK**

**LINE/PREP COOK will have several key duties and responsibilities that are essential to achieve success in their role. This includes working collaboratively with managers, ensuring top-notch health and safety standards, and training all kitchen staff. Other duties may include**:

- Check food plating, temperature and correct portion sizes
- Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Set standards for kitchen cleanliness and ensuring cleaning is done regularly
- Maintain prep list and freezer pulls
- Track kitchen waste and staff meals, making sure no one is abusing the free meal system
- Regularly check and record fridge temperatures on temp sheets
- Make sure front of house staff and kitchen staff maintain an amicable relationship

**Summary**

As a Line/Prep Cook, you will be essential in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Head Chef, your primary responsibilities will include food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Core skills such as knife handling, food safety, and cooking techniques are vital for this role. Your ability to work under pressure and collaborate with the kitchen team will enhance the dining experience for our guests. **Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a line or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and equipment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
