Service Advisor

Caledon Chrysler located just north of the 427 in Bolton, is looking for an experienced Service Advisor, with proven results to join our expanding team
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Customer Interaction**:
- Greet customers in a friendly manner, either in person or over the phone.
- Discuss the customer’s concerns or needs and advise on necessary services or repairs.
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding their vehicle's or equipment’s condition, service options, and estimates.
- **Service Recommendations and Sales**:
- Analyze customer needs and make appropriate recommendations for services or maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines or technician findings.
- Offer upsell opportunities, such as additional services, products, or warranty options, to maximize revenue.
- Explain pricing, service benefits, and warranty terms clearly and professionally.
- **Service Scheduling & Documentation**:
- Schedule service appointments and manage customer appointments to ensure optimal service flow.
- Open and close service repair orders, ensuring accuracy of all documentation.
- **Collaboration with Technicians**:
- Ensure that work orders are complete and technicians have necessary information for accurate repairs.
- Follow up with technicians to check the status of vehicle/service repairs and inform customers of any delays or changes.
- **Estimates and Approvals**:
- Provide customers with written repair estimates and obtain approval for all repairs or services.
- Ensure all charges are accurate, clearly communicated, and agreed upon before proceeding with any work.
- Keep customers informed throughout the service process and make adjustments to the estimate if needed.
- **Customer Satisfaction & Follow-Up**:
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Address any complaints or concerns and work to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Handle cash, credit, and payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including ensuring that service department paperwork is kept up to date.
- Assist in maintaining the service department’s inventory, including ordering parts and supplies as needed.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for the service area to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Stay current on industry standards and best practices for vehicle maintenance, repair, and customer service.
**Experience, Skills and Attributes**
- Previous experience in a service advisor role within the automotive dealership environment
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- A great attitude
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong organizational skills.
- computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail. Friendly and trustworthy individual.
- A desire to achieve the very best in customer service and teamwork.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Problem solver.
