Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a Shunt Driver to join our team in Edmonton.** **This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently moving the trailers in the Edmonton Plant 1 yard. They will have exceptional skills and dexterity at moving large trailers often in close proximity, side-by-side, and in confined yard space exposed to variable weather and conditions, especially when backing up, are essential. They will bring excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

**In this position, you will be responsible for**:

- Operating Shunt Truck and trailers in a safe and responsible manner for loading or unloading at docks; this involves:

- Maneuvering vehicle safely on on-site so as not to cause damage
- Suppling clean empty trailers straight in the shipping doors, for staff to load in a timely manner
- Removing loaded trailers from shipping doors and replacing with empty trailers to be reloaded
- Backing in loaded trailers for receiving to off load (raw material, classic doors, off-load containers, etc.)
- Ensuring ALL trailers are secured and wheel chalked to the building
- Keeping yard clear for easy access for long haul and third party carriers to park empty trailers
- Ensuring all trailers are straight to get maximum amount of trailers in the yard area
- Hooking and unhooking the hydraulic lifts of trailers
- Comply with Federal traffic laws, road etiquette, and All Weather Window’s policies and procedures at all times while operating vehicle
- Communication with AWW staff and third party carriers, maintaining positive relationships; this involves:

- Listening to staff and third party carriers’ inquiries, feedback, and concerns and troubleshooting solutions immediately or in consultation with Supervisor
- Delegating concerns to Fleet Supervisor as required, to solve problems as efficiently as possible

**Primary Qualifications Required**:

- Valid and current license
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years’ experience driving/backing up trailer in close proximity
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly
- Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Must be willing to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract

Hours of work will be 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
