To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add an SNB Prima Operator to the Production team that is open to **continental shift schedules**.

**Essential Functions**:
As an SNB Prima Operator, you will be accountable to:

- Measure and mark sheet metal according to the drawings;
- Shear, notch, cut, bend, punch different types of metal;
- Operate metalworking machines such as Accushear, Variable Angle Notching Machine, Schroder Panel Bender, and Prima Power Bending; and
- Maintain records of consumption documents.
- Operating and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during operations
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
**Technical**:

- Knowledge and understanding of material gauges.
- Proven experience as an Operator in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read a tape measure, diagrams, and blueprints.
- General understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, cut lists and sheet metal principles.
- Prima equipment experience (Asset)
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment is an asset
- Must have the mechanical aptitude required to learn and operate all aspects of machinery.
- Must have basic computer and math skills with ability to read ruler.

- Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Must be reliable and dependable.

**Physical**:

- Lifting of materials or components periodically up to 50 lbs unassisted
- May be exposed to noisy environment (ear protection may be required).
- May have to lift, bend, and be exposed to continuous periods of standing.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.70-$37.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
