**We’re excited to be recruiting for part time Housekeeping Room Attendants at our beautiful Microtel Inn & Suites in Portage la Prairie.**

This is a part-time position, and the hours will be days or evenings and weekends, depending on hotel business levels. Applicants must be available for day and afternoon shifts, and every weekend.

Microtel Inn & Suites, managed by Sparrow Hotels and owned by Long Plain First Nation, is situated on the Keeshkeemaquah Reserve near Portage La Prairie. This 75-room hotel features complimentary breakfast, a pool with a waterslide, a hot tub, and a fitness center. It also offers meeting space for up to 60 guests and houses Kookums Korner & Market. Guests can enjoy scenic views of Crescent Lake and are conveniently located near the Keesh Gaming Centre and the National Indigenous Residential School Museum of Canada.

**Job Overview**:
The housekeeping room attendant plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public spaces, and other hotel areas. This position ensures a welcoming, comfortable, and hygienic environment that meets or exceeds guest expectations while adhering to the hotel’s standards and procedures.

**Duties**:

- Cleaning of assigned hotel guest rooms to the standards provided in our training. This includes changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures.
- Distribute clean linen and toiletries.
- Report any lost and found items.
- Assisting other team members until all duties are complete and
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Direct Housekeeping experience in a hotel setting
- Positive and hardworking attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members
- Should be able to work in a team environment and individually
- Must be available to work day shifts, weekends and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $15.80 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
