Painter Prepper

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
This full-time position is based at Coulson Aircrane Ltd.’s airport facility in Port Alberni, BC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Report to the Paint Supervisor to assess current needs of the day and determine which project(s) and location(s) will require attention
- Set up and organize paint booth to ensure it is functional and efficient for the day’s tasks
- Use appropriate painting and polishing techniques and other related skills to complete assigned task
- Strip, Sand, Mask, and prep areas for paint
- Ensure all areas of the Painting Department are clean and tidy
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to priming; prepping all surfaces that may be found in Aviation, from aluminum to composites; detail touch up; paint stock inventory

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one (1) year experience in a Painting/Prepping or similar role
- Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanding, and required preparation work prior to any painting or polishing tasks
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to follow instructions

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Experience in the paint or bodyshop industry as asset
- Experience in the aviation industry an asset
- Possess Automotive Refinishing Prep Technician ticket and/or Automotive Paint ticket

$20/hour plus benefits
