We’re looking for a visionary and talented **3D Lighting / Compositing Artist**to help us bring this inspired story to life

**Responsibilities**:

- Use existing light rigs to generate a set volume of shots per week
- May need to light sets from scratch using clean and efficient light setups
- Generate clean, efficient and logical compositing structures that are easy to understand and adjust
- Generate macros / gizmos to automate repetitive tasks, and improve creative workflow.
- Ability to interpret the art director’s creative choices and understand the nuances of the show's intended look.
- Strong understanding of working within a linear, 32bit float, colour managed workflow.
- Ability to generate simple particle systems that integrate seamlessly within the intended style of the show.
- Occasionally work with the technical staff to solve rendering / lighting scene issues
- Communicate directly with the Lighting and Compositing Supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 yrs as an experienced Lighting & Compositing Artist in animated television and/or film
- Proficient in shot based lighting
- Proficiency in Maya 2022
- Proficiency with Houdini Solaris
- Experience with USD pipeline an asset
- A strong creative portfolio
- Knowledge of shaders, and their impact on render times
- Production experience using node based compositing systems such as Fusion or Nuke
- Strong understanding of what is capable in compositing to reach the intended look
- Knowledge of shaders, and their impact on render times
- A solid portfolio highlighting composition and artistic skills
- A strong portfolio that shows the ability to generate well lit and balanced imagery
- Ability to think outside of the box to create creative solutions to technical problems
- Strong and confident communication skills
- Engages other teammates positively, and is not afraid to provide useful information to fellow coworkers.
- Experience working on television series is an asset.
- Strong artistic skills is an asset
