As a Trailer Operator you will be tasked with loading, transporting and off-loading of engineered heavy cargo. Assembly and disassembly of transport configurations. Operating, inspecting, and performing basic maintenance of hydraulic platform trailers in accordance with Sarens HSE, quality standards, policies, and procedures. **Responsibilities (including but not limited to)** - Conduct yourself in a professional, respectful manner - Assembly/disassembly of trailers using basic hand tools to prepare for heavy haul projects - Ensures all components and the hydraulic systems are in good working condition for the transport - Troubleshoot any issues with the trailers which do not conform to safe operation or approved Sarens methods - Reading and understanding hydraulic, air, and electrical schematics - Performing or validating and complete set-up of very complex trailer hydraulics and moderate trailer electrical and pneumatic air according to schematics - Adjusting platform trailer suspension to ensure even distribution of weight across all axles, even over rough terrain - Reports to various work sites as directed by the dispatcher, project manager, and/or transport supervisor on time and ready to operator trailer equipment or perform assigned duties - Perform basic rigging duties - Independently position equipment in required/desired positions, laden or unladen - Correctly assesses obstacles, 0r space limitations on transport route - Follows all HSE standards - Read and understand engineering drawings/sketches and ensure that loading methods, cargo securement and transport comply with planned events - Rigging and lashing of cargo on the trailers to ensure safe transport - Ensures that Sarens, customer, provincial and federal safety requirements are met - Assist in planning disassembly of trailers following operation and assists in preparing trailers for transport or for the next scheduled lift or move - Completes all required paperwork and submits them to the supervisor in a timely fashion - Pilot/escort wide loads on highway and sit as required - As a Trailer Operator you will possess the following: - Have experience with heavy or over-dimensional highway transport - Effective communication skills - Highly Motivated - Team player - Physically capable to perform job duties - Respectful - Able to perform duties at all hours of the da - ELD Proficient - Collaborative in your approach to working with people, both individually and in a group - Committed to prevention and zero workplace accidents - Relevant safety certificates (CSTS, H2S, First Aid and CSO) Compensation arrangements are based on the Collective Agreement in place with the Teamsters, Local 362. Pay: $43.04-$43.66 per hour Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
