In this role, you will take an active part in our business growth strategy by supporting commercial aspects of client accounts for various product and services offered by GroupM and its agencies. Providing commercial guidance to our client teams across the GroupM agencies to ensure profitability and sustainability of the engagements. The role requires constant communication with agencies business associates.
**Role reports to **the Chief Commercial Officer GroupM Canada.
- Participate in the development and implementation of commercial strategies, meeting company goals and growth objectives
- Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of possible commercial growth
- Conducting research, within global network, to identify possible new revenue streams with current clients
- Focus and implement strategies developed by Chief Commercial Officer to accelerate commercial growth
- Excellent relationship skills, working tirelessly to build and maintain beneficial partnerships with Agency client leads
- Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and maximise commercial growth
- Working together with Agencies to develop accurate and consistent commercial proposals
- Drive consistency of commercial processes and practice across all agencies
- Business Growth Performance tracking - reporting results against commercial targets and providing in-depth analysis
- Developing and presenting commercial training seminars
- Meeting with Agency client leads to help interpret contracts and commercial terms
- Developing commercial submissions to win new business
- Provide analytical support to Chief Commercial Officer & Chief Financial Officer
- GroupM FLEX being a top-priority strategy for growth:
- Identify and combat opt-in barriers, help ensure consistency in messaging across agencies and clients, uncover opportunities for each product/service based on feedback
- Establish consistent methodology for success and guarantee delivery measurement, ensure compliance with respect to client contracts & opt in agreements, develop and maintain reporting for key-stakeholders
- Work with New Business/Agency teams to introduce the GroupM FLEX products and services
- Take part in Commercial Project activities either Regional or Global (Client profitability, Product sales tracking, Resource planning and management)
- Establish regular review of client profitability across GroupM products and services and proactively provide recommendation to agencies
- Propose and Implement Commercial action plans by client across agenises aiming at accelerating revenue growth, improving compliance and increasing profitability while preserving he quality of services
- Propose ideas and actions to maximize profitability of our services and products to clients in strict compliance and adherence with contract term
- Provide guidance and control new business pricing submission for prospective clients including the overall process and preferred remuneration structure
- Ensure profitability of our proposals and submissions
- Monitor contract compliance and adherence to agreed commercial terms
- Ensure Local Implementation Addendums to Master Service Agreement are correctly
**In 3 months**:
- Understand GroupM Canada business growth models and foresee commercial opportunities Be conversant with GroupM commercial and client contract related Policies
- Understand the concept and differentiation of clients’ contractual status
- Familiarise with various pricing and commercial models for the product and services offered to clients by GroupM and agencies
- Understand search, social, and programmatic services offered by GroupM Services (GMS) team
- Good understanding of all necessary Commercial controls and compliance obligations to the clients
- Understand GroupM Investment and specialized products and services and Digital operation
- Understand the various contributors to Revenue generation, growth levers and profitability
**What you will Bring**:
- 6 to 8 years of regional commercial/financial experience in corporate environment commercial roles
- Proactive, self-starter with strong commercial acumen
- Experience of working collaboratively
- Leadership qualities - ability to lead and deliver results in a demanding environment
- Good people management skill, able to develop strong relationships in a matrix organization
