Quality and Inventory Clerk

- **The Opportunity**:_

We are seeking a _**Quality & Inventory Clerk**_ to join our team in Newmarket for approximately 12 months. This role will perform duties within both the Inventory and Quality department and will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Receive and inspect incoming items, comparing them to purchase orders and other documents to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and, and inputs data into quality database.
- Prepare and coordinate non-conforming product returns.
- Verify the accuracy of product labels and other identifying information.
- Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the appropriate departments.
- Perform detailed inventory counts and reconcile them with purchase orders.
- Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies or errors.
- Utilize inventory management systems and software to record data.
- Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the inventory control team to ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Assist the shipping department in the packaging of finished products.
- Check the accuracy of shipments and shipping documents.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Other functions as assigned.
- **Requirements**:_
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management, quality control, or related fields is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Working experience using ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics NAV, etc) is an asset.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
