Project Manager- Sprinkler System

In business since 2004, Escape Fire Protection Ltd. is a well-established sprinkler-system contractor with long-term, high-profile projects throughout the lower mainland. Being one of the most sought-after installation companies in the Lower Mainland, we are looking to add an additional **Project Manager** to our team - Please note that this position is 100% in-office (Abbotsford)._ **The Perks** - Comprehensive extended health & dental benefits, including vision - Competitive compensation packages - Paid tuition for continuing education - Regular, company-wide events - Plenty of room for growth within the company - Paid vacation / time-off - A casual and relaxed work environment - A diverse and collaborative team - The ability to make suggestions / recommendations and see them happen **The Opening** **Responsibilities**: - Consult with designers, inspectors, engineers, customers, etc. - Coordinate with the Field Superintendent and/or Foreman for allocation of resources (scheduling) needed to meet objectives. Review the Equivalency Report (if applicable). - Develop project schedules and execute according to plan for assigned projects. - Prepare proposals, and negotiate final settlement price and customer acceptance. - Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. - Review and interpret contract Terms and Conditions. - Communicate project progress, issues and financial status. - Resolve disputes with mínimal need for escalation. - Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts. - Attend job progress meetings as required. - Oversee project for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques. - Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials for assigned projects. - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors and subcontractors. - Adhere to safety standards, local and national sprinkler and security codes. - Order specialty material as needed and participate in fabrication requests for projects. - Assist with customer inquiries and ensure a positive customer experience. - Coordinate testing and ensure all closeout documents are obtained. - Schedule municipal/engineering inspections & ensure inspection cards are filed appropriately. - Ensure company safety policy is being enforced and documentation is provided by the foreman. - Adhere to all policies and procedures set by Escape Fire Protection. - Other duties as assigned. **Hours of Work** - Full-Time, Permanent - Monday to Friday - 8-hour shifts - Sprinkler system, Project manager, Fire protection, Construction, Water-based fire suppression, Project coordination, System installation, Fire safety, Team management, Budgeting and cost control, Compliance regulations, Permitting and inspections, Design coordination, Contract management, Quality assurance, Risk assessment, Vendor management, Client communication, Problem-solving, Timelines and deadlines, resource allocation, contract administration, management, design, budgeting, quality control, sprinkler system project manager client relations, coordination, project management, safety, enforcement, NFPA, code-compliant, code-compliance, fire protection, sprinkler system installation, sprinkler system contractor. _ **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Paid time off - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Application question(s): - Please explain your familiarity / background with fire protection sprinkler systems - This position is 100% on site in Abbotsford, BC.
