Jardeg is recruiting an Wash-Dry/Operations technician to join the Integrated Constructors team at the NOVA Chemicals site in JOFFRE, Alberta. Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders that have been executing work at the Joffre site for over 20 years. This is a permanent days/nights rotation shifts position, with each workday consisting of 10 hours.

The ideal Wash-Dry technician will demonstrate flexibility in working rotational shifts, encompassing both days and nights, collaborating seamlessly with three other teams. Additionally, they should exhibit a willingness to engage in repetitive tasks throughout an entire shift cleaning the rail cars and be adaptable to switching roles within the designated work area. This position will perform general maintenance work at our client’s facility located in Joffre.

NOVA Chemicals’ Joffre manufacturing facility is located just east of Red Deer, Alberta and is one the largest ethylene and polyethylene production complexes in the world. The site actually consists of five manufacturing facilities: three for ethylene production and two for polyethylene production.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Willing to be trained and qualified within the Operations progression system (Packaging and Wash/Dry )
- Self motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Provide excellent punctuality and attendance
- Mechanically inclined with demonstrated trouble shooting skills
- Maintain relations with customer and co-workers through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Will be responsible for daily production and quality control
- Working knowledge of SAP computer software will be considered an asset
- Previous experience working with Joffre Site Safety Procedures will be considered an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to safety (own and others)
- Identify, report and act upon any unsafe condition or action
- Good housekeeping skills

**Responsibilities**
- Maintaining a safe and organized area throughout your shift
- Maintaining an organized shift with all of those which are involved in the process
- Maintaining Nova’s fleet of Railcars
- Identifying Rail Car deficiencies and managing appropriately
- Gaining and Maintaining knowledge of Rail Yard processes and procedures
- Planning days adequately to provide excellent service to our customer
- Helping out in other areas when/if work is completed
- Updating SAP with accurate Rail Car status reports
- Participating in our safety programs as a Operator (Operational Excellence)
