Job Overview:
**Description**

Barber Collins security is looking for 2 casual Security Guards to work at a Processing and shipping and receiving facility during the week and weekends in London, ON on a call in casual basis..

**Shifts**:
Call in basis. afternoons, Nights and some day shifts as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct occasional foot patrols.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Log in and allow access to trucks and trailers
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Input employee information into card access system. Make access cards.
- Keep site supervisor, Operations Manager aware of operational issues

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $18.00-$18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
