Matrix is hiring for Concrete Finishers for an exciting $250 million-dollar project in Victoria, BC. The pay rate is $36.71/hr. Paid travel provided as well as $150.00 per day LOA (for those residing outside of Vancouver Island). Our client is one of Canada's leading construction company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the placement and finishing of concrete for walls, beams, and minor slab areas with the team.
- Tie holes, insect holes, and make repairs to concrete walls.
- Operate a variety of electric and air-powered chipping hammers efficiently.
- Use power vibrators to ensure that concrete is properly consolidated.
- Using a straightedge or a float, level the top surface of the concrete according to the grade and depth standards.
- Ensure that all health and safety laws are adhered to.
- Make use of a variety of hand and power tools.
- Effectively communicates, is adaptable, and discusses and resolves concerns

**Requirements**:

- Must have proper personal protective gear (steel-toe rubber boots, hard hat, protective glasses, vest, glasses)
- A government security clearance is required. We can assist with this.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to operate and be certified a manlift (aerial boom lift)
