**The Opportunity**

Nicholson has an immediate opening for a full-time Sandblasting and Paint Laborer at our manufacturing plant in Sidney, British Columbia. The position offers compensation of $30.99/hour plus extended health benefits and pension through the designated union. Nicholson provides safety training, on the job training and opportunities for career growth.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ years of sandblasting experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to lift parts weighing 30 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and available for shift work as needed.
- Forklift operation certification and experience with overhead cranes is considered an asset.

**Responsibilities**
- Read, understand, and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Mask and sand-blast parts in preparation for painting.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the workplace.

**Salary**: $30.99 per hour
