**Ascari Enoteca is looking for Line Cooks to join the team**

**Location: 1111 Queen St E, Toronto, Ontario**

Ascari Hospitality Group is a restaurant and event company based in Toronto, and named after 1950’s Formula One racing legend Alberto Ascari (who was equally famous for his appetite as he was for his talented racing).

The group comprises three full-service restaurants - Ascari Enoteca, Gare de L'Est Brasserie; our boutique wine shop, Mercatino E Vini, and a full-service events company. Our ethos is entrenched in food, wine and good people, which is evident in our carefully selected offerings, and genuine hospitality.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion

**Qualifications**:

- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
