The Detox Centre of Manitoba is as residential detox and rehab facility in Winnipeg.

We are currently looking for cooks/kitchen hands that can work weekend shifts as well as cover shifts during the week as needed. We are located on a bus route, so a vehicle is not necessary.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal planning and inventory management
- Follow to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation
- Follow all company policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- ServSafe food handling certification is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
- The ability to follow recipes.
- The ability to work in a team.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Two years cooking experience.
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Proven experience as a cook in a residential facility or similar environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Weekends only
