Job description

We are looking for a CERTIFIED & PROFESSIONAL dog trainer to join Furbaby Pet Care.

This person should be self
- motivated, passionate about dogs, eager to learn and have dog training qualifications in their CV.

We require this person to have experience training other people's dogs and be prepared to train in our setting, and also at locations suitable to meet clients.
- work with dogs on obedience, confidence building, anxiety, behavior and aggression;
- develop and maintain a clear and reliable work schedule;
- attend, teach and develop group training classes and programs;
- assist staff with clients, dogs, and programs;
- attend seminars, mandatory workshops, staff meetings and other events hosted by Furbaby Pet Care;
- perform administration and scheduling of classes and bookings;
- monitor (for dog training purposes) play groups & daycare/boarding client support for staff and pets;
- care in detail for the dog;
- strong performance and passion;
- cooperative, collaborative, supportive of all Furbaby Pet Care staff members.

Qualifications:

- Professional Dog Training experience: priority will be given to applicants who have graduated from a professional program;
- Understanding and experience with dog behaviors and variety of training styles;
- Willingness to adapt and work with clients using a variety of training techniques to build their relationship;
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, shapes, and behaviors;
- Have confidence when interacting with clients;
- Motivated to learn and advance;
- Strong communication skills;
- Personable, reliable, and a positive attitude;
- Able to work under pressure and communicate effectively.

**Schedule will include evening classes, and weekends based on training schedule.**

Work Location:
2902 Jasper Avenue S, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or in client homes

**Salary**: $15-$30 per hour - Pay is based on experience and skillset
