**WellFort is seeking a Bookkeeper (Dental) to join our team**
**Bookkeeper 0.5 FTE Part-time permanent**
WellFort Community Health Services is a non-profit, values-based organization based in Peel. We provide a wide variety of comprehensive care including primary care, dental, mental health, and chronic disease management with a focus on illness prevention, health promotion and community development. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Bookkeeper is responsible for the day to day financial functions of the centre. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, generating financial statements and working closely with the Executive Director on budget monitoring and all financial reporting.
**What you will do**:

- Accounts Payable: review and verify all invoices, prepares cash disbursement vouchers, prepares cheques and coordinates signing by signing officers on a weekly basis.
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations including Bank account, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and other necessary balance sheet accounts.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports and analyses for ongoing financial management of the centre. This includes reports for departmental and project budgets.
- Preparation and depositing of weekly bank deposits. Reconcile and prepare for deposit: Interac, Visa and MasterCard payments.
- Prepares financial information for year end and the organization’s annual audit.
- Responsible for reporting and payments of quarterly GST returns, WSIB remittances, etc. Ensure Group Benefits are maintained, reported and payments reconcile to payroll records.
- Provides accurate and timely information to the Executive Director and appropriate staff regarding accounts receivable, deposits, and other financial aspects.
- Deals with routine financial transactions and correspondence. Maintains all financial records in a prescribed manner.

**What you will need**:
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting)
- Five years of experience with a sound background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and remitting requirements associated with external agencies.
- A minimum of three years experience working in a similar setting non profit organization.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Simply Enterprise.
- Ability to multi task and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Interest in community health or social services an asset.
- Able to work at any of the office sites as program needs dictate.
- Ability to speak languages relevant to the residents of the organization’s community is an asset.

Hiring Salary Range: $45,464 - $53,625 pro-rated to FTE (commensurate with skills and experience)
Compensation package includes health and dental benefits and HOOPP pension benefits.

Pay: $23.31-$27.50 per hour
