A company driver is a driver who drives a company vehicle and for whom the company is responsible for all (or almost all) of the costs associated with that vehicle.

The driver's job is to transport goods and/or services. The employer is often not responsible for paying the driver's own expenses such as gasoline, meals, lodging, etc.

Sometimes a company driver will be referred to as a contract driver. The contract driver is an employee of an independent contractor. The contract driver's relationship with the company is similar to that of a company driver except the employer is liable for all costs associated with the vehicle.

Most companies will only hire company drivers because they provide insurance to the driver.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive company vehicles to job sites, cleaning them before and after every use, and reporting any damage, accidents, or traffic violations
- Deliver materials, equipment, and personnel to job sites
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients
- Maintain detailed records of fuel usage, mileage, and servicing
- Maintain records of all vehicles maintenance logs
- Obtain and maintain commercial driver license

**Requirements And Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to perform required paperwork
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to deliver goods with timely delivery
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record, and comply with all safety regulations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $14.30-$34.95 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dartmouth, NS B3B 1Z2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
