Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking individuals interested in the following position(s):
Competition: GI0924 - Guitar Instructor

Positions: One (1) position

Status: Part-Time - 2 sessions/week

Salary Range: $50.00 per session

The key responsibilities of this position will include:

- Instructing small group guitar lessons with children and youth at club sites.
- Developing lessons that are appropriate for instructing students of various ages and musical abilities.
- Completing assessments of each student's abilities, learning style and personality to best assist their musical goals.
- Building relationships with children and youth to help them succeed musically and personally.
- Creating a safe space for students to learn, flourish and gain confidence.
- Following all safety and cleaning protocols set out by AHS and the agency in order to safely run programming.
- Understanding of their instrument and music theory.
- 1-2 years' experience teaching music lessons.
- Demonstrated good communication skills.
- Ability to manage time with children effectively and be results oriented.
- Demonstrated an understanding of others and the ability to facilitate groups of children.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- A Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check no more than 6 months old are conditions of hire.

Tuesday from 4:15pm - 5:30pm (Delton Elementary 12126 - 89 Street)

Fridays from 4:15pm - 5:30pm (West Club 16030 - 104 Avenue)
