Safety Compliance Officer
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures that comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct driver training and ensure that all drivers are properly licensed and trained.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to safety compliance and incident reporting.
- Keep abreast of changes in state and federal regulations related to safety compliance.
- Communicate with all levels of staff and management to promote a culture of safety throughout the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in safety compliance, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to transportation safety, including FMCSA regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with safety management software preferred.

This job may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing, working on a computer
**Salary**: $19.99-$24.50 per hour
