**Summer Student - Administrative Assistant (Inn Team)**

- **Inn From the Cold (IFTC) meets the needs of people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in York Region. We work with the community and collaborate with our partners in supporting those with basic to complex needs. IFTC’s work is housing focused, and trauma informed, offering a continuum of services and programs that allow us to partner with our clients on their journeys out of homelessness. IFTC promotes a healthy and safe workplace and has created an intentional culture of wellness for all staff, volunteers, and clients.**_

The Inn Team offers individuals at risk or experiencing homelessness a meaningful opportunity to earn income, develop job skills, and give back to their community.

Participants gain hands-on experience in general labour and odd jobs, supported by targeted training to strengthen their employability. In return for their work, team members receive fair compensation—helping lay the foundation for financial independence and a brighter future.

**Overview of the Position**:
The Summer Student - Administrative Assistant will support the Inn Team Manager with administrative duties including communication, promotion of the employment program, monitoring social media accounts, scheduling, invoicing, and other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent residence, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act
- have a valid social insurance number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
