**Schedule**:
This position is from Thursday - Saturday, 11:30pm to 7:30am, for a total of **22.5 hours weekly.**

**Pay**:
Starting wage is **$27.10** (includes provincial wage subsidy) plus **$1.50 night shift **differential as applicable.

**Position Summary**:
Under the supervision of the Resident Services Manager, the Multi-Service Worker (Non-RCA certified) provides assistance with a variety of tasks within the residence and may be assigned primarily in one area based upon operational requirements. The MSW (Non-RCA certified) will be assigned in areas of maintenance, administration, emergency response, and non-emergent assistance or ELS Services. Carries out duties in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner and demonstrates a respectful and caring approach to Berwick residents and staff.

The MSW (Non-RCA-certified) will also be assigned duties related to light maintenance such as supporting the safe maintenance and repair of the building including common and staff areas, parkade and grounds.

**This position is responsible for “Emergency Response” for the building and its occupants.**

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- A good working knowledge of and experience in repairs, painting, electrical maintenance, safety, operating a variety of equipment, working with cleaning chemicals and carpet cleaning;
- Experience in a related office and administrative field (minimum of 2 years)
- Excellent word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs including excel, word, and outlook
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the field of maintenance and general repairs
- WHMIS Certification
- Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR with AED training
- Trained in handling emergency situations such as power outages, fire, earthquake and medical emergencies
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of the intent, philosophy, and core values of assisted living when planning and delivering personal service and hospitality services
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions with mínimal supervision
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understands verbal and written instructions
- Polite, courteous and must work well with seniors
- Must have knowledge, skills and training on how to manage and respond to potential harassment in the workplace (verbal, physical and sexual).

Note*A criminal record check is required pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act for working with vulnerable adults. Current TB test also required as well as proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
