Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, the Warehouse Assistant is an integral part of inventory management as it relates to receiving & processing incoming materials, picking & filling orders for pickup & delivery, and maintaining a well organized warehouse.

**Responsibilities**

Perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

- Utilizing forklift and/or electric pallet jack for loading & unloading shipments on a regular basis
- Receiving incoming shipments: inspect to verify contents & quantities are correct, investigating discrepancies when they occur
- Picking & filling outgoing orders: generating pick tickets, verify that material leaving the warehouse is correct
- Inventory management: monitor stock inventory levels, tag inventory following company color coding system, participating in inventory counts, coordinate inventory returns
- Administrative tasks: filing purchase orders, utilize computer programs for tracking of incoming & outgoing shipments, provide backup support to team members on operations team
- Assisting delivery drivers as required
- Maintenance: follow opening & closing procedures of warehouse, tidy & clean warehouse, maintain safe workspace

**Qualifications, Skills, Education**
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Existing forklift certification or 1 to 3 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment
- Valid drivers license & clean driving record
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

**Working Conditions**
- Standard working hours are 8:30 - 5:00, Monday to Friday with some overtime required
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
