**Job Description**:
Job Summary
This position is responsible for but not limited to manage all aspects of Health and Safety ensuring proper policies and procedures are implemented to meet legislative compliance and carry out other duties as required.

- Responsibilities_- Manage Health and Safety team
- Partner with Managers to provide expertise and coaching aligned with Regional Managers and Business Strategies
- Develop, implement and manage Health and Safety program
- Implement programs to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses
- Manage Health and Safety Training Program
- Ensure training matrix is maintained and up to date
- Continually increase knowledge and expertise of latest developments in Health and Safety legislation requirement or available training options
- Develop, monitor and analyze Health and Safety Metrics to identify trends and areas of potential concern regarding; injury rate, ARMA rate, severity rate, leading behaviour based indicators
- Develop and implement national tools to manage injuries
- Develop strategies to continually improve health and safety program
- Ensure system for managing MSDS for products is being properly maintained
- Ensure programs and procedures are in place to regulate vehicle traffic, delivering of product and delivery site safety
- Complete overall assessment of program and ensure consistency nationally
- Understand legal requirements nationally
- Understand and ensure regulatory requirements (MOL, MTO DOT, etc) are being followed
- Work with third party claims management service provide to ensure proper management of claims with WSIB WCB and CNSST
- Understand trends, costs and implement complimentary programs
- Complete Health and Safety Program audits
- Ensure hazards assessment program is being followed and maintained
- Direct Health and Safety projects
- Partner with Leadership Team to ensure consistency in decision making process in regards to new facility purchases, and renovations of existing facilities
- Conduct safety and environment risk evaluations

Experience and Skills_- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Windows Applications
- Post-Secondary Education in Health and Safety Management or related field
- 10+ years Health and Safety experience
- CORE Audit Certification
