**Become a Procurement Officer - Temporary Assignment up to 9 Months** **with MPAC**

**You have**:

- Highly developed specialized technical, process and procurement knowledge
- Strong background in handling all procurement related activities
- Excellent working knowledge of market conditions and current trends
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Sound knowledge of contract law, procurement procedures and litigation
- The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as a member of a team

**What you will do**:

- Prepare and execute procurement activities from the contract database ensuring adherence to procurement policies, procedures and signing authority requirements
- Develop, prepare and review detailed and complex procurement documentation, and assist clients to ensure all business requirements are addressed in all stages of the process
- Make recommendations to clients on awards, check supplier references, take the lead in negotiations and develop and finalize awards and contracts
- Investigate and assist in the resolution of any disputes arising between MPAC and suppliers
- Process and maintain all procurement activities in SAP accurately and in a timely basis while maintaining a complete hardcopy/electronic filing system
- Provide consistent advice and guidance to internal and external clients on alternative solutions within the RFP process
- Build and foster partnerships with procurement partners e.g. municipal and provincial government
