Neetah Construction is backed by its’ founding partners, Des Nedhe Group of Companies, its’ flagship company Tron Construction, and the Magnorum Management Group with support from long-time roadbuilding and infrastructure companies, Moresky Industrial Services and Western Infrastructure Ltd.

As we look to grow our team of experts for this brand-new venture, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Carpenter. This position will be site based, however, the headquarters office is located in Saskatoon - Regina, SK. You’ll be joining a team of recognized industry experts on work that’s critical to our clients and our communities.

Job Title**:Journey Person Carpenter**

Reports To: Project Superintendent

Job Summary: The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and components of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Scope of Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes and specifications.
- Ensure equipment maintenance, walk-around, and daily assessments are completed.
- Ensure tools and other equipment are in good working condition and needs or repairs are communicated to appropriate stakeholders.
- Understand and comply with company policies, procedures and safety requirements, as well as the clients.
- Maintain current working knowledge of regulatory bodies: OHS Regulations, Employment Standards, and Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways.
- Communicate any anomalies or unusual circumstances to upper management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- +5 years of road maintenance and/or civil construction experience.
- Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle changing demands.
- Strong Focus on Safety.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Safety Certification Requirements:

- WHMIS 2015
- First Aid, CPR, AED
- Journeyperson Certificate (considered an asset)
